Make weight loss successful with a personal trainer

You might think it’s a lot of stress to see a personal trainer, specifically when you feel you have added too many pounds over the last couple of years. But telling you the sad truth is that the quick weight loss is mainly water weight, and after finishing their diet plan most people gain extra pounds due to the yo-yo effect. In the end you are at best at square one with less money in your purse instead of less pounds on your body. Nearly 3 years ago Kristine got her first child, and she was very happy to hold her newly born son in her arms. So, she didn’t care about the extra 18 pounds gained during pregnancy. One year ago, she decided it was time for a change and she got in touch with us via WhatsApp. She was very hesitant in the beginning and it took about 3 weeks to set up the free of charge first contact appointment. It was set for 30 min but it ended up with about an hour. Now she said: ‘This first contact conversation with my future personal trainer changed everything. Until then I thought only celebrities and athletes have trainers, I am just a mom with way too much weight. I felt uncomfortable before my Zoom call because I did not only have the 18 pounds more weight but added even 5 more due to the lack of sleep and my newly gained habit to finish all my son’s baby food, since it was so much easier than cooking an extra meal. I felt already a sort of depression with the way I looked and that I still was in my maternity clothes. At that time, I did not even have the proper workout gear to wear. With all that in mind my 1st session into my new life started. My new personal trainer introduced herself and hse invited me to tell her about my life, and what is important to me. From the first moment on I had the feeling that I could unload all what I had in mind and she would listen. She did not even look at her watch when I was telling my story. We got very quickly into a conversation about what could be changed and how we could do that. After one hour I was ready to set my weight loss target and build my determination to reach it. We agreed on a routine of 2 sessions a week, which I meanwhile increased to 3 a week. We got started very easy and we worked along a plan that contained my fitness routine and a program how to change my diet. After one year I have lost exactly 15 pounds, and even more important secured the weight loss for the last 4 months (including holiday season), which makes me very proud. Now my little family has adopted healthy eating, very little processed food and I became the role model of my family for exercising. When I now turn back, I can say losing weight is much harder than gaining it! There were times when I fell off the wagon, shopping and eating tons of chips or I didn’t feel like working out. If it weren’t for my personal trainer, I probably wouldn’t be able to tell my story. I wanted to do that in order to tell you that if you are serious with your weight loss then the best you can do is to find you a personal trainer. And in my case, I wasn’t ready to go to any gym even if they were open so I found it so comfortable to workout in my own place and the same time I even could look after my little boy.’
