The idea of losing weight
One of the most talked about topics is about losing weight. It gets more and more important for women and men all the same. The reasons are different. Most common is being overweight and having a BMI over 25, or having a closet full of clothes that no longer fit, or planning a wedding with the most beautiful dress just to name some examples All these kinds of things have in common that they bring up the idea to lose weight, ideally very quickly. In general, there is nothing wrong with having a close look to the body weight and shape but what all these things have in common is there is seldom enough motivation for a sustainable weight loss. In order to lose weight, the first choice is often to look for a special diet that promises quick results. The disadvantage of special diets is that they are very complicated to follow, or very expensive and result in losing water weight at best for quick results. Also simply buying a sports club membership might not lead to the loss of pounds. Also, in cases where pounds were shredded it is hard to keep the weight. Not seldom the jo-jo effect kicks in and the lost pounds start to come back. As trainers we have heard that very often and we understand the frustration that comes with it. We believe in sustainable weight loss by weight management which includes a lifestyle change too.
